At this stage, we will ask for input from your significant other or thoughts based on your observations or intuition about her style.

Our goal is to answer these 4 questions below for a more concrete path forward:

• Gemstone Type - Diamond, Sapphire, Morganite etc. 

• Gemstone Shape - Round, Emerald, Cushion, Oval etc.

• Ring Design - Solitaire vs Pavé or 4-Prong vs 6-Prong

• Gold Colour - White, Rose or Yellow 

At this stage, we will give you an idea of how different choices you make can impact pricing e.g. how Color Tones and Saturation affect the price of Sapphires, the pros and cons of a Halo vs a Simple Pavé band etc.

Based on the discussions we have had in Step 1, we set a concrete budget that we work towards for your engagement ring.

This allows you to have the peace of mind that all costs below will be included in your purchase: 

1. Your GIA-Certified Diamond or Gemstone 

2. Any additional Diamonds or Gemstones that create the final look 

3. All Custom Design Work to ensure beauty, structural integrity and comfort for everyday wear 

4. All Setting, Finishing and Polishing costs by hand

5. One-time Complimentary Ring Resizing 

During our search, we consider:

• Your priorities (e.g. size, shape, value) 

• Cutting - whatever your budget, it is our top priority to maximize brilliance and sparkle 

• Colour and Clarity (in diamonds, we find you the best value combination so you can maximize size)

Depending on the complexity of your specific search, this process usually takes approximately 15 - 20 business days (it can take longer if your gem is rare or less if we recently conducted a similar search for another client).

A 50% deposit is required to officially add you to our calendar and begin shortlisting your desired gemstone.

This commitment allows us to put the best gemstones on hold as the highest quality stones with amazing value always move quickly.

During this stage, we will narrow your options down to 2 or 3 gems that we would personally recommend based on their quality and value.

We rank these options in order of preference so you can get a sense of what we think is best. We will then review them together and pick your favorite.

Congratulations! Your gemstone is ready to become a showstopper.

We can take it off the market with the balance amount and start designing the perfect piece.

As every gemstone is unique in shape and measurements, this process helps you visualize your final design with your actual gemstone and ring size. 

Based on your feedback, we make tweaks to the design until you are fully satisfied.

Once the design is approved, our team of artisans will begin crafting your piece and setting your gemstones.

The estimated completion date will depend on the complexity of your design and we will provide real-time updates as we get closer to completion. 

White, Rose and Yellow Gold pieces are usually completed within 6-8 weeks from design approval.

Platinum pieces can take a little longer (8-10 weeks) as they require more complex work.
