What happens after our first Consultation?

After our consultation, you will have absolute clarity on the next steps for your custom jewelry. You will finalize your gemstone shape and type, design direction, and establish a realistic budget to ensure the best quality and value. Additionally, you will receive a concrete timeline to guide your planning.

At that point once we have settled on a direction for your jewelry in terms of the design and gemstone you would like, a 50% deposit is required to officially begin the search for your gemstone.

This commitment allows us to put the best gemstones on hold as the highest quality stones with amazing value always move quickly.

In our search, we take into account:

• Your priorities (e.g. size, shape, value)
• Cutting - whatever your budget, it is our top priority to maximize brilliance and sparkle
• Colour and Clarity (in diamonds, we find you the best value combination so you can maximize size)

Given our years of experience working directly with gemstone cutters, this process usually takes us anywhere from 10-20 business days (it can take longer if your gem is rare or less if we recently conducted a similar search for another client).

After the search, we revert with a selection of the best diamonds or gemstones we would recommend.

Usually we narrow it down to 2 or 3 that we would be thrilled to buy ourselves based on the quality of the cut and the value of that option.

We rank these options in order of preference so you can get a sense of what we think is best. We will then review them together and pick your favourite.

Once we agree on your gemstone, the 50% balance is required so we can officially take it off the market for you and start customizing your design.

What can we expect during the design phase?

Based on our initial discussions and any updated thoughts you have about your ring or custom jewelry, we will create a 3D model for you to preview and approve.

As every gemstone is unique in shape and measurements, this process helps you visualize your final design with your actual gemstone and ring size.

Based on your feedback, we make tweaks to the design until you are fully satisfied.

Once you give us the go-ahead on your custom design, our team will begin crafting your piece and setting your gemstones.

White, Rose and Yellow Gold pieces are usually completed within 6-8 weeks from design approval. Platinum pieces can take a little longer (7 - 9 weeks) as they require more complex work.

We will be in touch as we enter the final stages so you can finalize plans for your proposal.

How long does it take to create a custom ring or piece?

A minimalist ring can be created in 5-6 weeks but we recommend starting at least 2 months in advance for a more stress-free experience. Depending on the complexity of your design and requirements, we might need extra time to select the right gemstone and explore design concepts. Selecting the right gemstone requires time, especially if it is a unique cut or color.

Furthermore, creating a custom piece is akin to building architecture at a miniature scale, and since all our pieces are created specifically for your gemstone, ring size, more time is needed for multiple iterations and fine-tuning before we give the final design the official green light.

Generally, a minimalist ring in 18K White, Rose or Yellow Gold ring takes approximately 4 weeks from the time you approve the design.

A Platinum ring can take longer (approximately 6 weeks from the time of approval) because more complex work is required.

How do we collect our jewelry once it is ready?

Once your piece is ready, we will arrange secure delivery at your convenience.

If you live in Singapore, we will deliver your ring to you in person.

If you are overseas, your ring will be sent to you via secure and insured parcel delivery. Our delivery protocol requires your specific signature so it is guaranteed to reach you safely.

If ring resizing is required, a one-time complimentary service is provided.

We heard that you do not have a physical store. How does that work?

At August Bespoke, we have chosen not to operate a traditional retail store because our engagement rings and custom jewelry are entirely custom-made and we believe in offering unbiased advice without the pressure of selling pre-made stock. This allows us to remain fully focused on what truly matters: creating a piece that reflects you.

What kind of after-sales service do you provide?

For engagement rings, a one-time ring resizing is included.

At August Bespoke, we believe in sustainable maintenance and care. As such, we teach you a simple way to take care of your jewelry that helps keep your jewelry sparkling. We will also provide a personalised lint-free polishing cloth that you can use for daily maintenance.

We also provide an optional Ring Spa treatment exclusively for August Bespoke Insiders which includes ring resizing, repolishing, and replating so your ring looks brand new after 5 to 10 years of wear.

How can I keep my jewelry sparkling?

Refer to this short clip for our cleaning demonstration. All you need is a bowl of warm water with some mild soap, a soft bristled toothbrush, and paper towels.

We are known for providing neutral and unbiased advice to help you discover what works best for you (This is why we made a conscious decision to remain online-only).

What is the estimated price range I can expect for my jewelry?

In general, our approach is to work based on a ceiling that our clients are comfortable with and find ways to help them maximise value.

Depending on your choice of centre Gem, Shape, Color, Clarity, Cutting etc as well as the complexity of your design, the price can vary, however our custom Engagement rings generally start from USD 3,700 / SGD 5,000.

Other accessories such as earrings and pendants generally start from USD 2,100 / SGD 2,800 and go up based on rarity and complexity.

Our wedding bands start from approximately SGD 650 for women and SGD 1,450 for men using our interactive builder. For fully custom designs, they typically begin at around SGD 1,250 for women and SGD 1,800 for men.

Do you make lab-grown diamond rings?

Yes, we create custom rings with both natural and lab-grown diamonds. Our selection includes brilliant whites as well as coloured lab-grown diamonds in shades of blue, pink, and yellow. Whatever your vision, we can source the perfect lab-grown diamond for your ring. 

I am looking for a unique engagement ring. Can you help?

Absolutely, we are known for our unique engagement rings. The journey to creating your unique design starts during your consultation where we conduct an in-depth personality and style analysis, before brainstorming ways to add a personal touch and create a ring that truly reflects your story. 

Part of what makes a ring unique can be its centre stone, and we specialise in one-of-a-kind gems such as Sapphires and coloured gemstones. We are also fancy-cut diamond specialists and love to create designs with vintage diamonds, coloured diamonds and Salt and Pepper diamonds. 

Can you create a custom piece with a gemstone if I have one already?

Yes we can! If you have an existing gemstone, feel free to send us a WhatsApp message with an image and any designs you have in mind so that we might be able to advise on next best steps.
