Like all good stories, this one begins with my mother.
I grew up surrounded by gemstones thanks to my mum, whose treasure box felt like a time capsule of sparkling memories. Even though my career initially took me far from that world, from Goldman Sachs in New York to journalism and a travel startup, life eventually led me back.
When friends began getting engaged and felt lost choosing the right ring, they turned to me for guidance, trusting my eye for gems and meaningful design.
After visiting store after store with them, I realized that the experience of buying an engagement ring was broken.
At the end of the day, my friends simply felt confused.
